How to ask Claude about your website traffic
Instead of digging through dashboards, you can ask Claude "how did my site do this week?" and get a straight answer from your real numbers. Varde is listed in Claude's connector directory, so connecting takes one click.
Connect in one click
- Open Varde in Claude's connector directory, or search for Varde under Settings > Connectors in Claude.
- Click Connect, sign in to Varde (or create a free account) and click Allow.
- Start a new chat and ask about your website.
No code, no API key. If you don't have a site in Varde yet, Claude can use the Varde demo site with sample data, so you can see how it works before you add your own.
Questions you can ask
- "How many visitors did my site get this week?"
- "Compare this week with last week. What changed?"
- "Which pages were most popular last month?"
- "Where do my visitors come from: Google, social, or other sites?"
- "Which countries and devices are my visitors using?"
- "Did my newsletter (utm_campaign) bring any visitors?"
- "How is my signup goal converting this month?"
Claude picks the right date range and compares periods for you. Follow-up questions work too, like "and what about mobile only?".
What Claude can and can't see
- Read-only. The connector can read your stats. It cannot change settings, sites or anything else.
- Aggregated numbers only. Claude sees totals and top lists: visitors, pageviews, pages, sources, countries, devices and goals. Varde never stores IP addresses or visitor profiles, so there is nothing personal to share.
- Only your sites. Sites you own or have been invited to as a team member.
- Easy to disconnect. Remove Varde in Claude's settings, or delete its key under Team & API in Varde.
More detail is on the privacy page.
Using Cursor, VS Code or Claude Code?
The same connector works in any app that supports MCP, the open standard Claude uses for connectors. See the setup guide for developers.
Don't have Varde on your site yet?
Varde is cookie-free website analytics with data stored in the EU, so you don't need a cookie banner for it. It installs with a WordPress plugin, an npm package, or one line for Shopify, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Squarespace, Ghost and Lovable. The free plan covers one site. See all integrations.
